All Is Leaf is a roaming residency program featuring art retreats in novel spaces dedicated to fostering socio-ecological consciousness within the creative practice through deep, meaningful engagement with the earth and others.

SMUSH Gallery is now accepting applications to our Summer 2020 Arts Residencies! This program offers artists of all disciplines space for studio work, rehearsal, performance, and exhibition in our beautiful storefront art space. Artists receive up to 80 hours/week in select weeks from late June to late August, plus use of gallery equipment and publicity support. Non-profit and independent artists and organizations are especially encouraged to apply. Applications are due March 15th.

The Wendy’s Subway Residency Program supports a variety of projects at the intersection of literature, the arts, and publishing. This stipended residency provides artists, writers, independent publishers, and small-scale arts organizations with focused time to research, experiment, and develop creative projects, public programs, and publications over two to three months.
Residents receive a $600 stipend as well as an additional stipend of $1,000 for public programs, and further resources for a publication to be determined in relation to each resident’s project.

The MacDowell Colony is a leading contemporary arts organization. Since 1907, our mission has been to create a space where inspiration happens on a daily basis. We do that by providing essential support for emerging and established artists by bringing together diverse, multidisciplinary talent to exchange ideas and pursue creative work. Artists accepted for residency receive fellowships that cover all residency costs, including use of a private studio, meals and accommodations for up to eight weeks in an ideal creative setting in rural Peterborough, New Hampshire.

The Provincetown Community Compact is pleased to offer over sixty weeks of residencies in Fowler and C-Scape Dune Shacks from April to November, including several artist and writer residencies. The historic dune shacks are among the nineteen shacks located within Peaked Hill Bars National Register Historic District of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The shacks are primitive — no electricity or indoor plumbing — and isolated, allowing for uninterrupted solitude and refuge. The deadline is January 15, 2020.

The IEA has two 2020 Experimental Project Residency Programs, one for Electronic Media / Film (Time-based) and one for Visual Art (Print-media).
Artists have access to a combination of emerging, contemporary and historical media arts tools and materials, many are unique and not ordinarily available in a studio setting. The resident artists have 24 hour dedicated access to the IEA studio and equipment. The IEA research specialist will work with the resident artist. Additional technical staff and faculty are also available for consultation.

Eligibility: Only New York State residents are eligible for the residency program. Students enrolled during the 2020 calendar year are not eligible.
