Research fellows sought, The Huntington Library, San Marino, CA, deadline Nov. 15

The Huntington Library will begin accepting Research Fellowship Applications for the 22-23 fellowship year for Long-Term Fellowships, Short-Term Fellowships, and Travel Grants on August 31, 2021, until 12PM Noon PST on November 15, 2021.

Resources
The Huntington is a collections-based research and educational institution, which promotes humanities scholarship on the basis of its library holdings and Art Collections.

Sonic Acts is proud to announce the continuation of the OVEREXPOSED residency programme. With this renewed open call, we invite applications from artists and researchers working across the fields of environmental humanities with a special focus on pollution and experimental art and media.

OVEREXPOSED is part of a four-year research programme from Sonic Acts on the materiality of pollution and systemic and political issues related to the contamination of our environment. It is an opportunity for artists and researchers to expand their practice and develop new ideas and methodologies while being financially supported in their work.

SHIFT: A RESIDENCY FOR ARTS WORKERS

EFA PROJECT SPACE PROGRAM

SHIFT: A Residency for Arts Workers supports NYC-based artists who are also arts workers. SHIFT Artists-in-Residence share a studio space at EFA Center, benefit from monthly critique sessions and visiting curator and artist talks, and produce work for an exhibition in the summer.

Applicants should hold the equivalent of full-time positions at arts organizations (or be recently laid off) and should not be concurrently enrolled in a degree-granting program. Additional guidelines and info through the link below.

Applications are Open for Next Round of NYC Public Artists in Residence (PAIR) Program

Cultural Affairs has launched the open call for the 2021-22 cycle of the NYC Public Artists in Residence (PAIR) program. Established in 2015, PAIR was inspired by artist Mierle Laderman Ukeles' residency with the Department of Sanitation, which she pioneered in the 1970s. Based on the idea that artists are creative problem-solvers, the program embeds artists in City agencies to propose and implement solutions to pressing civic challenges. The following City agencies are each seeking to host a PAIR artist for the 2021-22 cycle:
