I am opening "submissions" for all 3 of my ezine/blogs; Frank Talk Blog, The Poetry Victims, americana photographic.

I am interested in art, photographs, poetry, stories, cartoons and articles.

Each ezine/blog has different requirements and specific content requests. You can view all 3 of these through the link provided below.

I look at "literally" all content that is loaded on AMP. and I'm here to tell you (all of you), submit something!

I believe in spreading our art far and wide!

The 50,000 dollar Sobey Art Award, presented by Scotiabank – Canada’s premiere award for visual artists, is now accepting nominations for the 2008 award. The Award is given annually to a Canadian artist under 40 who has exhibited in a public or commercial art gallery within 18 months of
being nominated.

The deadline for nominations is March 30, 2008.

HollyWould... Freewaves' 11th Festival of New Media Arts

Freewaves' HollyWould... festival will take place in October 2008, in the
perceived world capital of media on Hollywood Boulevard. We are looking for
INTERESTING WORKS THAT REPRESENT AN ALTERNATIVE TO MAINSTREAM MEDIA

Thematic considerations:
We are looking for submissions under 10 minutes in length that relate to the theme
of INTERVENTION. This film program will be screened as a part of the Interrupt,
Intervene! Art as Social Change Festival hosted by UC Santa Cruz. There will be
a conference at UCSC and exhibitions and screenings in the cities of San Francisco,

7th United Arab Emirates funding competition for film

UAE filmmakers invited to participate in UAE competition

Filmmakers from the United Arab Emirates can now apply in the "7th
UAE film competition" to get funding for their work. Those wishing to
participate should send scripts of their short, long, or documentary
films by February 7. Films should be completed by October 1.
The competition is organized by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture
and Heritage. The first prize amounts to 250,000 Dirham (about
US$68,000), the second prize is 150,000 Dirham (about US$41,000) and
the third is 100,000 Dirham (about US $27,000).
