The Lower East Side Printshop, NY offers emerging artists with FREE year-long studio residencies to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. The application deadline is March 1, 2015 for residencies that begin on April 1, 2015. Printmaking facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monoprint, waterbased silkscreen, digital processes, and other techniques that employ the tools at hand.
Keyholders work independently in the Printshop’s shared Artists’ Studio and have access to a vibrant community of peers. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; printmaking skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended. Basic instruction in printmaking and some Master Printer assistance is included in the program.

Wayfarers is now accepting applications for our Summer Artist in Residency
Program. The program awards one artist the opportunity to develop a body of
work in the supportive environment of Wayfarers, where ten other working
artists have studios. The selected artist is offered our 400 square foot
ground floor gallery to use as a studio for 2 months (July and August 2015)
and awarded unlimited access to the Wayfarers facilities, including the
woodshop and silkscreen equipment. The residency culminates in a solo
exhibition in the gallery in September 2015.

CSAV – Artists Research Laboratory is a project where dialogue and exchange among artists of different generations and nationalities stand at the heart of a unique artistic and learning experience. The lab is open to 16 young artists of all nationalities, selected among the applicants by a jury. The program lasts 25 days during which the participants attend a daily workshop activity and theoretical seminars run by the invited artist, the director, the curator and guest lecturers, as well as conferences held by artists, critics and experts of other disciplines.
