Flux Factory and the DCLA CreateNYC Disability Forward Fund are offering an inaugural Flux Factory Accessibility Fellowship, which provides a subsidized two month residency and artwork commission opportunity to one disabled artist during the Spring of 2019.

The IEA’s Experimental Project Residency Program will support an artist with a one or two week residency, an artist stipend, travel-support, lodging, technology access, materials and technical assistance. Artists have access to a combination of emerging, contemporary and historical media arts tools and materials many unique and not ordinarily available in a studio setting.

The resident artists have 24 hour dedicated access to the IEA studio and equipment. The IEA research associate will work with the resident artist. Additional technical staff and faculty are also available for consultation.


Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for this residency you must be a New York State resident. Currently enrolled students are not eligible.

The MacDowell Colony is a leading contemporary arts organization. Since 1907,

our mission has been to create a space where inspiration happens on a daily basis. We do that by providing essential support for emerging and established artists by bringing together diverse, multidisciplinary talent to exchange ideas and pursue creative work. Artists accepted for residency receive fellowships that cover all residency costs, including use of a private studio, meals and accommodations for up to eight weeks in an ideal creative setting in rural Peterborough, New Hampshire.

Dirt & Debt Residency at Residency Unlimited (RU)

Dates: February 1-April 30 2019

Artists today are key actors in bringing vitality back to the land, taking back their towns, and staking an active claim in re-envisioning their communities’ future. RU invites applications from US-based artists for Dirt & Debt, a 3-month thematic residency, conceived and curated by Livia Alexander and Jane Philbrick, for artists whose medium is the built and/or natural world. Criteria for selection will include working at the community level in the global context.

Deadline June 25: Mural Arts Philadelphia invites visual artists to apply for the Tacony LAB Community Arts Center 2018 Fall Artist Residency. This 12-week residency, running September 10-December 2 and housed in a storefront arts hub on the Torresdale Avenue Commercial Corridor in Lower Northeast Philadelphia, is a unique opportunity to combine personal practice, community engagement, and the creation of civically-focused public art.

The resident artist will work with this historic and diverse neighborhood to develop an art project that brings community members together through collaborative creation, building relationships and encouraging neighborhood pride. The project must have a public visual component outside of the four walls of the LAB.
