Have your artwork featured in SMMoA's 3rd annual cultural bike event! Tour da Arts has always been represented by a delightful bike critter, and this year, we invite you to create one.
All submissions must be in black and white and will be reviewed by a jury of artists as well as SMMoA's curatorial staff. An online slideshow featuring all bike critters submitted will be on view after the winner is announced on July 11, 2011. Participation is free and open to all ages.

10-1, Tues 10-1 and Thurs 10-1.

LA Commons develops artistic and cultural projects that reveal the unique stories of L.A.’s neighborhoods, and engages visitors through cultural tours. LA Commons and USC are hosting a unique project to engage 5 artist/designers to collaborate with a core youth arts team (15-25 years old) to create light pole banner designs that will be installed on over 125 light poles along Exposition, Vermont, Jefferson, Hoover, and the Figueroa Corridor The banners will share the unique stories of neighborhood and will mark the opening of the Metro Rail Expo line.
The Role the Artist/Designers in this project will be:
1. To participate in story/image gathering process.

Lower East Side Printshop is pleased to announce Alternate Routes: New Work by Keyholder Artists in Residence, with a reception for artists on Wednesday, July 13, 6 – 8pm. The exhibition will be on view at the Printshop from July 11 – September 7, 2011 and features new works created by eight of this year’s recipients of the Printshop’s prestigious Keyholder Residencies.

aspex seeks emerging artists working in all media for its open submission exhibition EMERGENCY5. In September a maximum of 12 artists will be selected for a group show. From these short-listed artists a winner will be chosen to receive the prize of a solo exhibition at aspex in 2013, including a £1000 fee and £1000 production budget.
This year's selectors are: Ivan Morison, artist; Julia Alvarez, Director, Bearspace; Margot Heller, Director, South London Gallery and Joanne Bushnell, Director, aspex.
