YANS & RETO is AN ACTION FEST, a one-night festival of action art by artists
(mainly, but not limited to) over sixty and under thirty. The artists
present themselves through short pieces creating energetic,
inter-generational encounters. YANS & RETO is an assembly of people engaged
in contemporary culture who, regardless of their disciplines, have in common
a taste for radicalism and experimental creation.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its September 2013 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “Landscapes.”
An art competition was held in August 2013 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 17 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 31 different states. Overall, there were 564 entries that were judged for this art competition.

The YWCA Santa Monica / Westside is
looking for a Dance Coordinator who plans, organizes, administers, instructs
and supervises the dance classes and performances as well as conducts
evaluations of the Girl Central Dance Program. Dance program is for middle school girls (ages 10-14). There will be one beginning level class and
one intermediate level class taught per week from September 2013-June
2014. The YWCA is closed on local and
state holidays. No classes are offered
if the school is not in session.

New Public Art Opportunities
Metro is seeking five artists for Silver Line stations.
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) invites artists to apply for public art commissions at 5 stations on the Metro Silver Line.
The Metro Silver Line combines service on the dedicated busways along the 110 Freeway (Harbor Transitway) and Interstate 10 (El Monte Busway), with additional connecting stops through downtown Los Angeles.
