A project of the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, CHIME is a unique mentorship program allowing for self-selected pairs of professional choreographers – mentor and mentee – to receive financial support and cost-free studio time to establish and explore a working relationship that includes, but is not limited to, work in the studio.
:::DRC INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY:::
The Dance Resource Center (DRC) is looking for a Marketing Intern
to aid with all DRC marketing needs. This is a part-time, unpaid
position, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about email
and social media arts marketing and increase professional
involvement with the L.A. dance community.
Responsibilities include:
- Composing e-blasts (email advertisements)
- Reviewing and editing our weekly newsletter
- Posting to the DRC Facebook Page and Blog
Preferred skills:
Applicants must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have
excellent customer service skills. An ideal candidate will be
eager to learn about email marketing software and best practices
in social media. Familiarity with WordPress and Mail Chimp is a

Strong writing skills are essential, along with an attention to detail and

Internships entail a variety of responsibilities including assistance with
the organization of exhibitions and fundraising events, compiling artist
press packets, assisting with visitor services, artist assistance during
installation, and curatorial research for upcoming projects. Basic

Phantom Projects Theatre Group at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts is seeking production positions for the first two shows of their 2013/2014 Season
We are seeking the following positions:
Stage Managers ($600 Stipend)
Assistant Stage Managers ($250 Stipend)
Set Designers (Fee Negotiable)
Carpenters ($12/hr)
The shows are the The Watsons go to Birmingham (California Premiere) and The Diary of Anne Frank.
The Watsons go to Birmingham rehearsals start on October 15th. There are only 3 performances on one day, November 21, 2013. The Diary of Anne Frank will begin Auditions/Rehearsals in January, 2014. There are only three performances, on one day, February 20, 2014.
Rehearsal schedules are TBD for both shows, conflicts can be discussed.
Cda-Projects Grant for Artistic Research

Cda-Projects Grant has been offering a 10,000 EUR grant annually since 2011 to support the production of an artistic research project.
Projects
The grant aims at supporting and opening up discussions on artistic research to an expanded network through an open call. It encourages speculative approaches to how discourse is staged and how knowledge is produced, rethought and interwoven across disciplines. Without any limitations on the content, the proposed inquiries are expected to suggest new forms and methodologies by reflecting on contexts and conditions of the knowledge produced.

South of the Navy Yard Artists and the Green School are partnering up to
facilitate 4 teaching artist residencies. We are committed to directly
engaging The Green School students and the surrounding community with Public
Art residencies designed and implemented by working contemporary artists.
Purpose of Position: We seek experienced, innovative Teaching Artists with
an active contemporary public art practice for in- school, curriculum
integrated art residencies with High School students at The Green School.
Teaching Artists will work alongside Classroom Teachers providing arts
