The Performing Arts Education Centers located in Agoura Hills and Calabasas are actively looking for Sound Engineers to add to their Over-Hire list. While a small portion of the work may involve high school concerts and productions, our over-hires work primarily on all-pro crews with outside clients during rentals.
The Centers' four theaters boast full digital sound packages designed and installed by AMT. We run a Yamaha M7 and a Yamaha LS9, a MOTU 896, Qlab for playback, and a complete package of mics from SM58 to 414 to 4066.

Guidelines for Cal Humanities' 2013 California Documentary Project (CDP) grant are available at www.calhum.org. CDP supports film, radio, and new media projects about California subjects and issues that are suitable for national audiences through broadcast and/or distribution. Monthly Weekend / Vacation Family Art Studio Coordinator
Description:
The Skirball Cultural Center seeks a part-time art studio coordinator to
develop and facilitate programs for families in the Skirball's
drop-in art studio. All programs presented in the art studio embody the
innovative sensibility and core values of the Skirball's interactive
destination Noah's Ark at the Skirball and the broader Cultural
Center, and serve its diverse and sizable audience of family visitors.
The Art Studio Coordinator reports to the Head of Family Programs.
Time frame:
The weekend art studio is open the last weekend of each month, in
addition to extended hours during winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Job Description:
Film Independent seeks a full-time Manager of Corporate Sponsorship to work closely with the Director of Corporate Sponsorship to secure key sponsors for Film Independent’s programs including the Independent Spirit Awards, the Los Angeles Film Festival, Film Independent at LACMA, Film Independent Forum, and Directors Close-up. The Manager is an integral member of the Sponsorship Department, which is responsible for raising all the corporate funding for the organization.
Duties:
Showcase your organization to 15,000 girls and families at Girltopia, the largest expo event for girls in the country! Hosted by Girl Scouts of Greater LA, the event will feature more than 300 exhibitors, hot mainstage entertainment, and tons of products and activities for kids. The event takes place at the LA Convention Center on November 9.
This is a great opportunity for family-friendly theater companies, music organizations, and art schools to reach a target audience as a Girltopia exhibitor. Booth spaces are $250 for a non-profit and $500 for a for-profit (if doing an interactive activity.

The Los Angeles art-collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is seeking an
PROPERTIES DESIGNER / PROPERTIES MASTER to start work immediately on their
production of *Pinocchio.* This production will start rehearsal in
mid-August at the Rogue space in LA Mart in Downtown LA, and performs
Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons from October
11th – December 7th at the Atwater Village Theater.
Rogue Artist Ensemble’s Pinocchio is the Rogue’s tenth anniversary
production. Based on the original story by Carlo Collodi and adapted to the
stage the ensemble, the Rogue’s Pinocchio is a fresh, original take on the
children’s classic. Disney’s Pinocchio this is not.

The Japan Media Arts Festival Executive Committee announced the call for entries for the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival starting in 2014 from July 11, 2013. Works completed or released between September 21, 2012 and September 12, 2013 are eligible for entry in the four divisions—Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga. Entries are sought from professional, amateur, independent, and commercial creators from across the globe.
