The YWCA Santa Monica / Westside is
looking for a Dance Coordinator who plans, organizes, administers, instructs
and supervises the dance classes and performances as well as conducts
evaluations of the Girl Central Dance Program. Dance program is for middle school girls (ages 10-14). There will be one beginning level class and
one intermediate level class taught per week from September 2013-June
2014. The YWCA is closed on local and
state holidays. No classes are offered
if the school is not in session.

Hours: Part-time (5
hours per week/schedule may vary and include weekend performances)Â Must
be available two days a week (Wed-Fri) from 3:30-5:30pm
Rate: $15.00-$18.00/hour

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree: Bachelor’s degree in dance
or similar field (Current Dance Major at University or equivalent experience
accepted)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in
dance instruction (Hip Hop and Contemporary are preferred)
* Training and proficiency in various
dance disciplines (Ability to dance technical and recreational forms)
* Professional experience in
performance, teaching, and choreographyÂ
* Show-planning experience
* Excellent oral and written
communication skills
* Conflict resolution and problem
solving skills
* Classroom Management
* Professionalism
* Group and Individual Instruction
* Organizational Skills
