Open Call for Puppetry Acts

The Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles, seeks 8-10 puppetry performances for a one-day Family Puppet Festival on Sunday, April 13, 2014. The Festival will feature a wide range of puppetry, from small to large scale, utilizing diverse media, and drawing on a variety of cultural traditions.

Education Director

This position reports to the Director and exhibits a true commitment to the mission of the organization. The Education Director is responsible for developing and implementing all education programs & management of education program staff. With the Director, the Education Director establishes Lux's education priorities and objectives. The Education Director then creates educational strategies to meet specific community needs and program goals; identifies and designs current and potential educational programs; develops and cultivates positive relations with participants and supporters; and with the Director, Deputy Director and Board members, strategically positions the education programs for growth and impact.

Skylight Theatre Company's PlayLab, headed by award-winning playwright and screenwriter, Shem Bitterman, will be accepting submissions from Oct.15th until Dec. 1st for their 2014 season.

Yesterday was publisehd in CD Baby my album Los Panzas y sus Baratarias (Suite para la estupideza humana).
A suite composed for six pieces inspired the Cervantes´ book Don Quijote and his character Sancho Panza. So the music was borned before to be titled, with nockinly, I´m doing a relation where music and idea are fussioned as if was one in one.
The concept is a opposition about nacionalism and independences when the Human want to go on contrarie direction.

2013 Visible Award: the jury as a public event

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission Civic Art Program announces a request for qualifications for artwork/design to inspire the County’s Window Display at the State Capitol.

Undergraduate college students across Los Angeles County are invited to submit a letter of interest and images of past work. This is a unique opportunity for students to be recognized for their achievements and to have their design concept seen by thousands.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to students of fine art, graphic design, communications, industrial design, architecture, or any other related major are encouraged to apply.
• Students must reside in Los Angeles County and attend school in Los Angeles
County.

About the Residency Program

This residency program is open to artists and creative people in all categories of the arts, such as visual artists, architects, designers, writers, musicians, composers, theater artists, dancers, filmmakers, aimators, etc. Artists can apply as individuals or with their collective. The program’s mission is to provide free art studio space for talented local artists for the creation of original work, while exposing our students to a wide variety of creative practices and processes. Members of the LFCSA community are also eligible to apply.
