Artists of color…
with a demonstrated creative practice and who are interested in (or already) making socially-engaged art. Proposed projects can use any medium or artistic genre as long as it can be adapted to a site-specific project in a working coin-op.
who live in the Greater New York Metropolitan Area (including Jersey City and Newark) and Philadelphia.
who are available to fully participate in all residency activities from May – October 2012.
who are not enrolled as a full-time student at any point during the residency.

CCMHT Artist/Scholar Residency 2012 Applications
The residency is a week long stay at the Kugel/Gips House in Wellfleet for
artists and scholars whose work relates to the story of the modern movement,
the mid-20-century creative convergence on Outer Cape Cod or the Cape's
particular landscape. Residency availability for 2012 is the weeks of May
20-27, June 3-10 and the last two weeks in September.

Designed by Charlie Zehnder in 1970, the Kugel/Gips house is secluded in the
privacy of the Cape Cod National Seashore. This significant example of the
Outer Cape's modernist architecture is sited in the pine woods, hovering

Culture Lab and ISIS Arts are excited to be launching their second joint, open call for a Resident in 2012. Proposals are invited from practitioners and researchers from across the spectrum of creative art, design and technology to undertake research in Culture Lab for a minimum of 3 weeks between 1 April – 14 December 2012.

Artists receive an adaptable raw studio space in the historic livestock
barn. All studios are roughly 300 square feet. Artists will have 24 hour
access to their studio and accommodations which include a private bedroom,
shared living room / study, dining room, kitchen, and bath. Artists also
have access to workshop facilities as well as the potential for expansion of
workshop space and the possibility of working outside. The residency's
KEYHOLDER RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Residencies are one year long, starting on April 1, 2012, and take place in the Printshop’s shared Artists’ Studio. Facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monoprint, waterbased silkscreen, digital processes, and other techniques that employ the tools at hand.
