The Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam (est. 1870) aims to develop top talent in the international visual art world and promotes the position of art and artists in today's society.
By offering artistic, theoretical and technical support the Rijksakademie creates an environment in which about 50 emerging professional artists from all over the world can, for a maximum of two years, work on deepening, broadening and accelerating their profession—individually and socially.

Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, a non-profit organisation founded in 1998 in Biella (Italy), is glad to present a new edition of UNIDEE in Residence International Programme.
The project, which runs since 2000, focuses on the analysis of the relationship between art and society and investigates methodologies of creative interventions able to activate projects for a responsible social transformation.
The Byrdcliffe Artist in Residence Program provides uninterrupted time, creative space and an inspiring environment to artists of exceptional talent. Month long residencies are available to visual artists, composers, playwrights/screenwriters, and writers of fiction, nonfiction and poetry in the months of June, July, August, and September. It is Byrdcliffe's mission to provide solitude in a creative community and uninterrupted time in which to concentrate on producing independent and enduring creative work alongside fellow artists.
Opened in 1903, the Byrdcliffe Art Colony was placed on the National Register of Historic Sites in 1979 for its architectural and historical significance. It is located in the Catskill Mountains, 1.5 miles from the center of Woodstock, New York.

Residency program in Amsterdam
De Ateliers, founded in 1963, is an internationally acclaimed studio program based in Amsterdam. It offers a two-year residency program in twenty-five spacious studios in a monumental building in the center of Amsterdam. These are placed at the disposal of beginning artists who wish to combine intensive self-motivation with critical guidance of prominent artists: Rob Birza, Angela Bulloch, Marlene Dumas, Chris Evans, Runa Islam, Melvin Moti, Willem de Rooij, Bojan Šarčević, Marien Schouten, Fiona Tan, Didier Vermeiren and Marijke van Warmerdam. Artist-in-residence program
The City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Division announces two opportunities at the award-winning Annenberg Community Beach House at 415 Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.
The Summer 2012 Theater Ensemble Residency offers access to the Beach House to a performance ensemble for the purpose of rehearsing and presenting a classic play or an original devised work. Although this opportunity is aimed primarily at text-based theater companies, physical theater or dance-theater companies are also invited to propose. The Residency spans five weeks of rehearsal and seven public performances over two weeks. This opportunity begins Monday, June 4, 2012 and concludes Friday, July 20, 2012. An honorarium of $3,500 is offered. Submission deadline is Friday January 6th, 2012, rec'd by 5:00pm.
