Performers Village is a four-week course – production of a performance open to professional actors, dancers, singers, musicians as well as directors, choreographers, playwrights, scriptwriters and stage designers from different countries, creative genres, techniques and styles. Film makers, photographers, body painters, mask makers and multimedia artists will also find a role in this process. The course will take in a secluded village traditionally known as the "theatre village".
New York Film Academy offers broadcast journalism program for Journalists
Journalists across the globe have the opportunity to take a new
broadcast journalism class at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in
NYC. The new course was put together by NBC NEWS and the NYFA to
train the next generation of journalists for the evolving landscape
of digital journalism. The deadline is rolling.
The course is an intensive hands-on curriculum designed to address
the pressing demand for skilled, can-do digital journalists in
network television, cable, and online publishing.
NYFA offers three different course lengths: a year-long program, a
four-week program, and an eight-week program.

George Washington University to offer fellowships for filmmakers
The George Washington University's Documentary Center is planning to bring 10 filmmakers from around the world to Washington D.C. for a six-week fellowship in documentary filmmaking in May and June 2008, media-newswire.com reported.
The fellowship is open to filmmakers from Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Somalia, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Teaching includes graduate and undergraduate courses. Applicants working in any medium will be considered. The Division is seeking artists with distinguished professional profiles and teaching experience. Participation in departmental and university committees is expected. Exchange/travel program coordinator: International Arts and Artists - DC International Arts & Artists is seeking Farsi-speaking candidates for the position of coordinator of an upcoming major international artistic exchange project. IA&A’s USArts program will be hosting three different groups of Iranian artists and museum professionals for three weeks each group. A Bachelor’s degree and two or three years related experience are required. In addition, candidates must have an open, enthusiastic spirit with aptitude for motivating and guiding small groups.
The Rijksakademie Research Residency in Amsterdam is an international research and production place for talented, professional artists from all over the world. The Rijksakademie is more than a residency. It has extensive technical facilities, a library, artists’ documentation and art collections. In addition the Rijksakademie offers material basic facilities such as a studio, a work budget, mediation with accommodation and grants.
There are some fifty studios where resident artists work for one to two years on research, experiments, projects and production. Confrontation with diverse cultures and advice by renowned international artists, exhibition makers, theoreticians and technical specialists promote the deepening, expansion and acceleration of artistic practice. Practical experience has revealed that a work period at the Rijksakademie has the greatest effect three to five years after graduation.
