In 2011, The Eisner Foundation will award the inaugural Eisner Prize and is currently soliciting nominations of individuals or non-profit organizations for this prestigious honor. I hope you'll consider nominating someone you know, or even applying yourself.
What is The Eisner Prize?
The Eisner Prize is a cash award of $100,000 given to an individual or a non-profit organization for excellence in uniting multiple generations, especially seniors and youth, to bring about positive and lasting changes in their community.
Sounds confusing. Can you give us an example of who might be eligible?
The Masters in Arts Management Program of Claremont Graduate University, the only program of its kind in California, seeks an outstanding artist, arts manager or academic who is a thought leader in the field for a visiting appointment in arts management in 2011 – 2012. This is a special opportunity for a practitioner or scholar in the field to create a residency or project of their own design that will invigorate the more than 40 students in the Arts Management program. The appointment may be part-time (one semester) or full time (both semesters) based on the proposal submitted.
Development Associate Position:
P.S. ARTS is looking for a part time temporary Development Associate to work
approximately 29 hours a week.
The Development Associate will be responsible for the timely execution of
all grant applications and funder reports as well as managing the Raiser's
Edge database for the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Research and identify new government, corporate, and foundation prospects.
- Work with the Development Officer to write, coordinate and submit grant
proposals and supporting documents.
- Maintain the grant calendar.
- Enter foundation, corporate, government, and individual gifts and related
information in Raiser's Edge.
- Create and change constituent records in Raiser's Edge as needed.

The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space is looking for interactive sound installations for the project’s principal venue, the New Stage of the National Theatre.
PQ Sound Curator Mr Steven Brown invites composers and sound designers to join The Sound Kitchen and offer ideas for 15/20 minute pieces to be played, or activated, live by them using a laptop computer, and/or any other type of mobile device (eg iPod. iPad, mobile telephone, cassette recorder!).
