In this watercolor workshop, Joseph will show you how to create a vivid painting of an urban landscape using pen, pencil, and watercolor. The class will focus on how to take a reference image and improve it to create a vibrant painting.
Students will develop small black and white studies in order to explore composition and positive/negative shapes, as well as a larger color study to explore deviating from reality in order to make a statement. Through these explorations, Joseph will lead students to create their very own exciting, dynamic urban scene paintings.
