Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a call for entries for the gallery’s 2nd Annual “All Photography” online art competition for the month of December 2012. Photographers from around the world are called upon to make online submissions for inclusion in to the Gallery’s January 2013 online group art exhibition. Light Space & Time encourages entries from all photographers regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field. All digital, film, manipulated, alternative photographic and printing processes will be accepted into this competition.
Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very delighted to announce that its December 2012 online art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme for this art exhibition is “Seasons” and artists were asked to interpret and depict the four distinct times of the year, along with scenes and activities associated with those seasons in their art.
An international online art competition was held in November 2012 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from ¬¬13 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 31 different states. Overall, there were 401 entries from 131 different artists that were judged for this art competition.
Ruth Ellen Hoag is a signature member of WW, SDWS, and an AWS medal winner. She works in the figurative genre to explore the human experience. Whether it’s the activity of dancers in motion, or those in contemplative mode, she chooses her palette to suit the mood in order to show what something feels like conveyed in paint. She is presenting ideas about how she creates her award-winning paintings. The seminar is $25 and is held at the City of Brea Art Gallery. Fri-Art is looking for a curator to plan, organise and manage its artistic programme.
The main responsibilities will be to organise between four and five exhibitions per year, to manage the exhibition budget and to oversee all planning and administrative aspects of each exhibition. The curator will also be in charge of organising events, providing information and securing sponsorship for the exhibitions.

Film Independent invites talented filmmakers with compelling, original feature length documentary projects to submit for the 2013 Documentary Lab.
The Documentary Lab is an intensive seven-week program running in Los Angeles in March and April. Filmmakers currently in post-production on their documentaries will receive creative feedback, and mentorship on developing a strategy for the completion, distribution and marketing of their film.
Lab Fellows will meet with film professionals who can advise them on both the craft and business of documentary filmmaking. Several guest speaker sessions with established documentary filmmakers are also a key component of the program.

The Emdash Award 2013 is now open for entries. The Emdash Award returns to Frieze London for the third consecutive year in 2013 as part of the acclaimed Frieze Projects programme. The award is open to artists living outside of the UK, up to five years from graduating from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or under 35 years of age. Frieze Projects is a programme of site-specific commisions shown at Frieze London each year. Produced by Frieze Foundation, the Emdash Award is supported by the Emdash Foundation and presented in collaboration with Gasworks.
