Now concluding it’s third year, APAL is a participant-administered program
that affords Advisees not only the chance for valuable mentorship but also
professional development in program planning and implementation. Aided by
EAL/LA’s Leadership Council and past program participants, APAL Advisees
select their own Advisors who they meet with at least four times on
mutually agreed upon topics with an emphasis on the Advisee’s areas of
interest. In addition to these one-on-one meetings, APAL participants plan
mixers and a culminating event for all APAL Advisees and Advisors. This

Emerging Arts Leaders/Los Angeles (EAL/LA ) seeks a Managing Director:

The Managing Director (MD) will ensure successful operations of the
EAL/LA Leadership Council by guiding efficient communications and
organization. The MD may serve as a consultant to the Leadership
Council but will not be a voting member. This is a part-time, temporary,
6-month position, with the possibility of renewal pending additional
funding.

Job responsibilities include:
- Attend all Leadership Council meetings and retreats and post meeting
minutes and action items on Basecamp
- Attend events and committee meetings as needed, as available, or as
allowed by or as subject to time and budget limitations
- Track Leadership Council and Chairs' progress toward meeting major

Muck Roots All-Stars

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center Foundation, otherwise known as "The Muck," will be auditioning musicians and singer/songwriters for an all-star folk music group in 2013. The selected band members will be guided by the Muckenthaler with paid gigs, promotions, YouTube videos, band management and recordings.

Auditions will be held at 8 AM, Saturday, February 2nd, 2013.

To be eligible to audition you must:

· Be over 18 years of age (or be over 13 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian)

· Be on time

· Be able to work in a group

· Have a great work ethic

· Have a passion to be a professional music artist

· Be able to sing harmony

· Be free for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings and gigs on weekends
