Deadline: Artists must submit their digital application by July 23, 2010

The Wassaic Project Residency Program has been created to cultivate and
support community for emerging and professional contemporary artists.
Housed in a historic re-purposed livestock auction barn and nearby house,
the Residency Program offers eight artists the opportunity to live and work
in the heart of a rural community and offers three local artists studio
space. The Wassaic Project seeks a group of artists working in a diverse
range of media who want to produce, explore, challenge, and expand on their

Taller Portobelo Norte Summer Art Colony . July 4th - July 25th

Taller Portobelo Norte is now accepting proposals for it's 2010 Summer Art
Colony in Panama.

The TPN Art Colony is a two or three week summer residency program for
emerging and professional visual artists that attracts a diverse and
talented set of individuals to work independently on the continuation of
their current projects or the realization of new small works. Art Colony
participants have a documented commitment to their artistic practice and the
ability to appreciate and grow in an atmosphere of independent, guerilla
style creativity that applauds innovation and forward thinking.

Wooloo offers non-visual residency program for artists (deadline Aug. 15)

THE WORLD'S FIRST NON-VISUAL RESIDENCY

NEW LIFE RESIDENCY is the world's first non-visual residency program for
artists. The residency is organized by Wooloo as a work of Manifesta 8, the
European Biennial of Contemporary Art, and will take place this fall in the
Region of Murcia, Spain.

For one week each, five artists will be selected to live and work in a dark,
visually distorted exhibition space. To support them in their life and work
for the week, the artist will collaborate with a local Murcian assistant who
is blind.

In cooperation with her/his assistant, the artist will use the one-week
residency to create a guided tour of the non-visual space and experience in
which s/he is living. The blind assistant will be the guide of this tour in

BAC, Baltic Art Center in Visby, Sweden; The Factory of Art and Design (FFKD) in Copenhagen, Denmark and Hordaland Art Centre in Bergen, Norway jointly invite professionals within the field of visual art to apply to our new Collaborative Research Residency.

The Collaborative Research Residency offers one month residencies autumn 2010 for research groups of three collaborators where at least one has a contemporary visual arts background (artist/curator/art critic). The programme encourages new relationships and should be seen as a chance to try out different types of collaborations, which may have an inter-disciplinary character. We welcome applications from research groups based in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Residency in Lima, Peru

Located in the historical center of Lima, Perú, Escuelab offers a residency program to young artists, creators and activists from Latin America, in particular from the Andean region, Central America and the Caribbean. The program hosts annually up to 10 participants as scholarship holders for a period of 11 months, offering an interdisciplinary formation with the possibility of developing an own project.

WOOLOO TO PARTICIPATE IN MANIFESTA 8

We are happy to announce that Wooloo will be participating in Manifesta 8,
the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, that will take place this fall in
