Special Project Volunteer/Intern – Inside Out Community Arts

Inside Out Community Arts is a nationally award-winning non-profit
organization that utilizes theater, movement, music, writing, and visual arts
to explore the imagination in a positive manner in order to build self-esteem,
conflict resolution and socialization skills. The Neighborhood Arts Project (NAP) serves middle school
youth from 10 different Westside middle schools. The program includes weekly theatre and arts workshops,
monthly family workshops, theater and nature field trips and culminating
performance events highlighting original work by students.

A Multicultural Festival of Solo Artists is accepting SUBMISSIONS for it’s Seventeenth Annual Festival March 25-28, 2010

LAWTF is seeking female solo performers of all ethnicities and ages with original performance pieces: actors, performance artists, dancers, comedians, storytellers, singers and performance poets… from throughout the world.

Send LAWTF your DVD or videotape depicting the exact program under consideration for the Festival (cued to 10 minute viewing segment of your entire piece). Your submission must be clear and audible for viewing. Please do not send audition tapes with only a collage of your performances. We must see a real time excerpt of your work. Up to 30 minutes of solo works will be performed in the Festival.

Tom of Finland Foundation's Emerging Erotic Artist Contest (deadline November 30)

SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE for TOM OF FINLAND FOUNDATION'S 2009 EMERGING EROTIC ARTIST CONTEST HAS BEEN EXTENDED.

Tom of Finland Foundation (ToFF) completed its 14th Annual West Hollywood - Los Angeles Erotic Art Fair Weekend (WHLA EAFW) in March. It was a resounding success. There were 60 artists (a full house!), over 800 patrons attending and over $35,000 of artwork was sold. All of these figures ring out that it worked - it paid off – the business of erotic art is alive and well.

ToFF is now focusing on its Emerging Erotic Artist Contest (EEAC). In order for more artists to have an opportunity to participate in this singular competition the closing date for submissions has been extended to November 30, 2009.
