Call for Sound Art (deadline September 30)

Our 2010 Call for submissions deadline Sept 30th. We have well over
100 submissions in already but there aren't a lot of these by Canadian
artists. We welcome all submissions (all ages and nationalities) but
would love to see the gap between Canadian and international
submissions made smaller so please don't be shy - send us your work!
Please note that we will be choosing Canadian artists from the radio
art portion of the call for submissions to be commissioned to create a
new work for CBC Radio 1's Living Out Loud.

Profs and assistant profs, I'd be very grateful if you could
disseminate to all of your students.

Email naisa@naisa.ca should you have any questions.

Thanks!
Nadene

Los Angeles: Artists Voice/Sound Lab

The Artists Voice/Sound Lab is calling all artists and vocalists interested in experimental sound.

Sept. 11, 2pm Machine Project http://machineproject.com/

HOW IT BEGAN
I started AVSL in response to working with a few inspiring visual, performing and media artists using voice in their work, and interested in pushing it further. This group offers those artists, and those of you I don't know yet, an opportunity to cultivate your own voices and to act as each others sonic resource.

HOW IT WORKS
The group will meet at Machine Project (1200D N. Alvarado) in Echo Park where we will:
1. Build our voices and feed our ears
3. Experiment with, and realize ideas brought in by individual members
4. Document these works for use in that artist's video/installation/performance etc.
