Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a Juried Competition with an “All Photography” theme for the Month of September 2011. All photographers from around the world are called upon to make online submissions with the winners being included in the gallery’s October 2011 online art group exhibition. Light Space & Time encourages entries from all photographers regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field. All digital, film, manipulated and alternative photographic and printing processes are welcome to submit.

The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival is seeking female solo performers of all ethnicities and ages with original performance pieces: actors, performance artists, dancers, comedians, storytellers, singers, and performance poets from throughout the world.
Send LAWTF your DVD depicting the exact program under consideration for the Festival (cued to 10 minute viewing segment of your entire piece). Your submission must be clear and audible for viewing. Please do not send audition tapes with only a collage of your performances. We must see a real time excerpt of your work. Up to 30 minutes of solo works may be performed in the Festival.

The LTSC CDC Community Technology department offers technology training and access to underserved seniors, youth, and families in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Road Concerts: Sunset Boulevard
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Los Angeles Road Concerts is seeking artists of all kinds to install or
perform site-specific works along the entire length of Sunset Boulevard for
its third annual road concert on September 18, 2011. Submissions may be
sent directly to laroadconcerts@gmail.com or through the event submission
form on the LA Road Concerts website (laroadconcerts.co.cc).
Los Angeles Road Concerts has shown work from over eighty Los Angeles
creative people in unused public outdoor spaces along the entire lengths of
Washington Boulevard’s 27 miles, from Whittier to Venice Beach, and San
Fernando Road's 23 miles, from Sylmar to Lincoln Heights. Participating

FESTIVAL OUTLINE:
-- 4 productions are selected to run in rep at Son of Semele Theater in Silver Lake.
-- Each production presents 12 performances.
-- Rehearsal hours to develop and prepare the work (free).
-- A $300 stipend paid to each production to help recoup production expenses and time investment.

POSITION: Associate/Assistant Professor of Art, focused in photography. Full
time, tenure eligible position. Service and committee work expected.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: M.F.A. degree or the equivalent. Significant
photography-based background with commitment to conceptual inquiry and
technical expertise. An active professional creative practice, including a
record of exhibitions/presentations/projects beyond the local and regional
level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have more than three years college-level teaching
experience, possess advanced wet darkroom capabilities, and be able to teach
digital imaging and printing and a combination of the following; alternative
photographic processes, large format photography, and/or studio lighting.
