Venice Arts Gallery invites you to enter our Summer Juried Exhibition—*The
Elements: Earth, Wind, Fire & Water.* Artists are asked to respond to the
theme of the elements and how they view the components that make up our
world, literally or conceptually. The exhibition is open to artists working
in photography, film, video, and digital/new media. Winning entries will be
shown at the Venice Arts Gallery June 30-August 10, 2012, with an opening
reception for the artists on Saturday, June 30th, 5-8pm. Regional,
national, and international entries are accepted. Submissions accepted
through June 11th.

Cal Humanities invites applications for the next round of Community Stories (formerly known as the California Story Fund). The purpose of this ongoing, competitive grant program is to capture and share compelling stories from and about California's diverse communities. The mission of the Buena Park Exhibiting Artist Program is to provide exhibition opportunities for new and emerging artists and to create a visual dialogue between artists and the Buena Park community.
The program currently accepts submissions in the following categories: photography, drawing/painting, graphic design and mixed media. Interested artists are encouraged to submit their artist statement, resume or C.V. and 10-15 hi-res jpeg images of their work. Qualified submissions will be reviewed annually by the Exhibiting Artist committee and selected artists will be contacted for exhibition.
Artists interested may submit their work to Sonia Godoy, Cultural and Fine Arts Coordinator at sgodoy@buenapark.com. Only email submissions will be accepted.

ASPECT: The Chronicle of New Media Art, a biannual DVD publication, is currently accepting submissions of time-based work for V21: A GOOD PLACE TO STOP.
After ten years, twenty-six DVDs, and the published works of over 200 artists, ASPECT: The Chronicle of New Media Art reaches its conclusion with Volume 21: A Good Place to Stop. We are currently accepting submissions that explore the concept of endings. We will review installation, video, performance, sound and any other work best documented in time-based format.
