Professional, amateur and student photographers worldwide can enter a contest with a US$10,000 grand prize.

seek entries for its annual competition featuring eight professional categories - advertising, architecture, deeper perspective, editorial, photography book, fine art, nature and people.

The winner of each category will compete for International Photographer of the Year and the grand cash prize. Student and amateur winners in non-professional categories will compete for the title of the Discovery of the Year, a Lucie Statue and a US$5,000 cash prize.

The Mayor's Office and The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) are proud supporters of the second annual Los Angeles 2012 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Heritage Month Celebration. This celebration will promote and encourage an awareness of the significant contributions made by our City's LGBT community members in culture, education, politics, business, entertainment, technology, and the arts.

As part of this celebration we are creating the first comprehensive Los Angeles LGBT Heritage Month Calendar and Cultural Guide showcasing quality LGBT artists from across Los Angeles and listing the numerous events, exhibitions, lectures, festivals, and cultural programs related to this celebration of LGBT culture.

Poets & Writers is now accepting applications for our 2012-13 Galen
Williams Fellowship Program. The Fellowship Program is designed to
nurture future leaders in the field of literature, and especially the
nonprofit arena. This year, the Joseph F. McCrindle Foundation
Readings/Workshops Fellow will be placed in our Los Angeles office. This
ten-month, half-time, paid position, is supported through a generous
contribution from the Joseph F. McCrindle Foundation. *The deadline to

The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) is pleased to announce five new
rounds of funding available to California artists working in all disciplines
through its Investing in Artists (IA) grants program. Established in 2007,
the IA grants program has awarded a total of nearly $1.5 million in grants
to 161 California artists to date through the generous support of The James
Irvine Foundation and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.

Guidelines and the online application for the 2012 Visual Arts, Craft &
Literary Arts round of Investing in Artists are now available at
www.cciarts.org/grantsprogram.htm. The deadline for receipt of applications
is July 6, 2012 by 6 p.m.

BURBANK ARTS FOR ALL FOUNDATION (www.BurbankArtsForAll.org), a 501
(c)(3) non-profit education foundation, has been dedicated to raising
funds on behalf of visual and performing arts education programs in the
Burbank Unified School District since 2005. Through a combination of
corporate sponsorships, individual memberships, donations and
fundraising events, Burbank Arts for All Foundation has, to date,
awarded more than $150,000 in grants to our schools for a variety of
arts education programs as part of a student's core curriculum.

But we're just getting started! And we're currently looking for
