Applications open for the 2012 Fringe Festival Award for Sustainable Practice in the Arts (CSPA)

The Center for Sustainable Practice in the Arts (CSPA) announces the 2012 Fringe
Festival Award for Sustainable Production at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The
CSPA Fringe Festival Award for Sustainable Production is designed to reward

LA Commons is searching for a Lead Artist to work
with a core Youth Arts Team

(Age 15-25) to collect neighborhood stories regarding
the art in MacArthur Park, what people value about the park and people’s dreams
for the park. The lead artist will work
with youth artist team to create a series of Linoleum or Silkscreen prints on
banners that will be displayed throughout the area as well as on tee-shirts. Youth Arts team members will also be paid a
stipend for their work. LA Commons will
coordinate project partners, supply acquisition, workshop space and recruiting
the Youth Arts team. One lead artist
will be hired to work with the team.
