ABOUT THE GIBRALTAR POINT INTERNATIONAL ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The Gibraltar Point Residency transcends political, aesthetic and geographic boundaries, welcomes diversity and provides a spawning ground for unique cultural alliances. The program is open to Canadian and international artists who are engaged in the research, development or creation of work. Emerging, mid-career and established professional artists are invited to apply. Participants in the residency program receive accommodation, a private work studio and all meals at no cost. Travel and material costs are the responsibility of participating artists.

DIFF announces dates for 28th edition, Calls for Film Entries
The 28th edition of South Africa's longest running film festival,
the Durban International Film Festival, will run June 20-July 1, 2007. DIFF calls for Feature, Short, and Documentary film entries from around the world. The deadline for entries is March 1,2007 for short films and documentaries; and March 15, 2007 for feature films. Seeking Writing Submissions for Publication

To All Fellow Writers,

Free Fall is looking for writers to make submissions of poetry and
short stories of all genres as well as articles on various topics,
personal essays, and reviews of books on or about writing. Free
Fall is a non-paying market and your only compensation for your
published work will be the promotion and exposure of your work and
you as a writer. The target readers for Free Fall are writers,
readers, editors, and agents and our goal is to be a stepping stone
for those beginner writers who are still on the back burner and to
get your writing out there to be seen.

The Studio for Creative Inquiry Artist Residency Program

The Studio for Creative Inquiry Artist Residency Program

Offers an opportunity for artists working in interdisciplinary and collaborative forms that incorporate new technology.

The Studio supports projects that integrate the arts, science, technology, and the humanities, that impact local and global communities. Participating artists create the projects and then collaborate with faculty-researchers at the Carnegie Mellon University for implementation. Residency period is one year. At this time, proposed projects should not require full funding by the Studio. Applications reviewed semi-annually. Proposals should be submitted at least 6 months prior to desired residency period. The Nature Conservancy's Andy Warhol Preserve Visual Arts Program

The Nature Conservancy's Andy Warhol Preserve Visual Arts Program

Deadline: February 1, 2007.

The Andy Warhol Visual Arts Committee, comprised of artists, educators and The Nature Conservancy staff, accepts applications from artists who are interested in the artist-in-residence program. Artists in residence are provided with basic housing for one week, during which time they have access to the Andy Warhol Preserve for artistic pursuits. The artist in residence agrees to conduct one educational workshop during his or her stay, but is free to pursue his/her own artistic endeavors during the rest of the week. Artists interested in conducting programs and/or participating as an artist in residence at the Andy Warhol Preserve should send a cover letter and resume. Visitors to the preserve are asked to leave it in the condition it was found. The preserve is located in a remote area and a car suitable for a rough road is essential. The Dangenart Gallery in Nashville, TN announces a call to artists for "The Nancie Mattice Award for Emerging Artists 2007", Feb 27 - Mar 17, 2007. The competition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art are eligible, except video art. Not-for-Sale work is acceptable.
