Forty winners! LACDA announces an open call for our juried competition featuring digital art and photography. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of 2D artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. This call is international, open to all geographical locations.

Creative Capital accepts proposals for its 2007 grant cycle supporting
projects in the visual arts and film/video. To apply, artists must first
submit an inquiry form, which will be available February 5 on the

Call For Entries: Puppets, Puppets, Puppets
In May and June of 2007, the Arroyo Arts Collective will be hosting Puppets,
Puppets, Puppets, a Puppetry Festival in Northeast Los Angeles. We are looking for puppeteers, artists who make puppets, teachers for puppetry workshops for children and adults and a teacher to give a talk on the history of puppetry. Thanks to generous grants from the City of Los Angeles,
Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission we are able to give modest honoraria to puppeteers and teachers for this event. Here's how
Seeking Artists of all backgrounds for an exciting opportunity to create an Interdisciplinary Arts Piece investigating the Los Angeles experience, to be presented in March in Silverlake.
We are seeking artistic collaborators from many walks of life, including painter, sculptor, writer, puppeteer, filmmaker, dancer, singer, actor, costumer, and more.

Expo festival call for work
The call for work for this year's Expo festival closes on 31 January (next Wednesday).
This year we are offering a £4000 budget for a new commission and, as ever, we are seeking a vast range of artistic submissions and papers.
The festival will take place in Plymouth, UK, between 22-25 June 2007.

residency two year graduate art program leading to a Master of Fine
Arts (MFA) in New Media. The program is intended to lift the

This is a short message to hightlight WHO's photo and video contest, "Images of Health and Disability" - the main theme being Health and Environment. The contest closes 9th March 2007.
This is an invitation to raise awareness of the importance of ensuring healthier environments (incl. for children and adolescents) through powerful images, illustrations, stories and video clips. Powerful images can form the basis of an excellent lesson, generate intense and thoughtful discussion and "be as effective as a thousand words".
