Introduction

Mural Arts Philadelphia, together with Impact Services, is seeking an artist (or collaborative team) to create

a creative placemaking project in and around the Kensington and Allegheny (K&A) commercial corridor. The

artwork created is part of a five-year initiative, Heart of Kensington (HOK), to build social cohesion and

bolster resiliency in Kensington through an intersection of public art, behavioral health, youth engagement,

and workforce development.

More specifically, this artwork will be executed in the service of promoting the K&A commercial corridor as

We are thrilled to announce that beginning today, Soho Rep. is accepting applications for the Writer / Director LAB through Monday, July 8 at 5:00PM (EST).

The LAB is an engine for creating lasting artistic relationships and giving the artists the means and resources to make a tangible piece of theater. The LAB supports the development of four projects created by collaborative pairs over 18 months, culminating in work-in-progress presentations at Soho Rep. The artistic teams will emerge from the LAB confident in the work they have made and with a substantive piece of theater that can have a future life.

Miller’s Grove Public Access is pleased to announce it’s first ever call for submissions! This on-going video art project centers around personal accounts with mental health in the format of public access television shows. By giving artists a safe space to express themselves, we aim to dispel harmful ideologies keeping individuals from getting the help they need and deserve.

If you have a story to share and want to help in the fight to end stigma, make sure to submit your finished show by July 15th, 2019 to be considered for one of two lineups during our September and October exhibition in the Green Gallery at Turnip Green Creative Reuse in Nashville, TN.
