ATTIC THEATRE SEEKING CO-PRODUCTIONS FOR OUR THEATER

The ATTIC Theatre & Film Center is accepting proposals for co-productions at their Culver City theater. There is no up front rental fee, however certain theatre running costs will be deducted from box office revenue. After those fees are paid at box office will be split 50/50. The ATTIC will provide box office and house management at each performance. All other staffing will be provided by the producing company. Productions will be able to run from 2 weeks to 6 weeks depending on the project.

This is a call for fixed media electroacoustic audio-visual music works
exploring the interaction between sound and image. Works should be cohesive
audio-visual entities and not just video/film with a soundtrack or music
with a video/film track. The audio within these works should be
electroacoustic in nature.

Works are requested for a PhD research project investigating audience
reception of differing styles of audio-visual composition and the role of
composer intention in facilitating audience reception of electroacoustic
audio-visual music works. This research builds upon the foundations laid by

Call for artists - The City of Ventura Cultural Affairs Division invites Southern California artists to compete for selection as an ArtWalk "featured artist." Ventura's bi-annual ArtWalks attract up to ten thousand visitors to its Downtown Cultural District during this weekend of fine art display and sales in business "galleries for a day," live music and performances, children's activities, and studio and gallery openings. Each ArtWalk showcases a different established or emerging "featured artist" with a weekend exhibition, and focuses on one of the artist's images used in such promotional materials as newspaper ads, posters, postcards and programs produced by the city.

Ventura Spring ArtWalk Weekend Applications Now Available

The City of Ventura Cultural Affairs Division invites artists and merchants to apply by February 1st or February 12 to participate in the Spring ArtWalk Weekend-Saturday and Sunday, April 25 & 26, 2009 in Ventura's Downtown Cultural District.

A new participant orientation will be held on Wednesday January 14th at 7 pm in the City Hall Atrium; 501 Poli Street - 1st floor. Assistance will be available for interested participants and with matching up artists and merchants who apply by February 1st. All other applications must be in by February 12th. General questions on participating and instructions on filling out the application will be discussed, along with innovative ideas to market ArtWalk exhibits to draw in patrons.

Cornerstone Theater Company (LA), Altvater Fellowship (deadline February 20)

Cornerstone Theater Company is now seeking applications for the annual
Altvater Fellowship.

Cornerstone's Altvater Fellowship Program provides educational and
professional development to individuals interested in theater and
community. Altvater Fellows explore a wide range of experiences in the
planning and creation of a Cornerstone production. Over an eight-week
residency, Fellows work full-time with Cornerstone's Ensemble and
Staff on many aspects of current community collaborations as well as
immersion in the unique culture of the company.

This year Cornerstone offers one Altvater Fellowship that will focus
on all aspects of the 2009 Cornerstone Institute Summer Residency with
a production and/or producing focus. Applications are available now
