Singaporean video makers invited to submit short works to competition

A competition for Singaporean video makers invites submissions of video entries no longer than three minutes under the theme "Learn Media Live Media."

The Creative Video Awards welcomes video entries in four categories: Overall Best Video, Best Story, Best Picture and Best Audio. Winners will be announced on January 23, 2010. The overall best video will be awarded SGD3,000 (US$2,166) and other winners will receive SGD1,000 (US$722).

The competition is being held by the Singapore Media Academy.

Festival seeks short films that promote social change worldwide (deadline January 22)

Filmmakers seeking to make social change through their work are encouraged to submit short films to Media that Matters Film Festival. Deadline: January 22, 2010.

Submission should be no longer than 12 minutes and and focus on social or environmental issues. This year's festival will focus on Media Literacy, Human Rights, LGBTQ & Sexual Identity, Youth Activism and International issues in particular. Entries must be submitted online (via a link) or through DVD.

Selected films will be screened in New York City.

Registration fees range from US$10 to $25. Submission is limited to two films per individual, while youth and community media centers may submit up to five films.

I, Mariëlle Videler, am looking for four artists working in different
disciplines to take part in the project BLINDED TOURIST for seven days. I
need artists who have never been to Amsterdam (the Netherlands), and who are
able to stay for the entire last week of March 2010. There is one rule: they
