Filmmakers from across the world are invited to submit entries for the Hamburg International Short Film Festival which will take place June 1 to 7, 2010. Deadline to apply: February 15, 2010.
Alongside the festival program, a wide range of extra activities such as seminars, workshops, and panels on special topics will be available.
Winners will be notified by mid-May. If the original version of the film or video is in a language other than English or German, the film should be subtitled in English.

Photojournalists and professional photographers are invited to submit works to the 2010 World Press Photo contest. Deadline for submissions: January 14, 2010.
Entries may be entered as single images or stories/portfolios in ten categories: Spot News, General News, People in the News, Sports Action, Sports Feature, Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, Portraits, Arts and Entertainment and Nature.
Winning pictures will compose a traveling exhibition in more than 90 locations worldwide. In the 2009 World Press Photo Contest, 96,268 images were submitted by 5,508 photographers from 124 countries, according to the contest organizers.

Dear colleagues, partners and friends,
our organization is looking for project partners for the Youth Exchange with main title "Blue Dawn Platform". We will apply for the deadline of 1st of February. The exchange is part of the larger project, which will take place in Erfurt, Germany summer 2010. The exchange will last for 14 days.
From October 2009 to March 2010, will take place the 5th edition of Magmart | video under volcano, international videoart festival.
The Festival is realized in partnership with CAM - Casoria Contemporary Art Museum and PAN - Palazzo delle Arti Napoli.

CIWEM (The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) runs the Environmental Photographer of the Year, which is one of the fastest growing photographic competitions in the world. In 2009 we received nearly 2,500 entries from photographers in over 60 countries.
This is a serious competition that seeks to celebrate photographers who use their ability to raise awareness of environmental and social issues. Curating Art specialises in the combination of art management, art history, law and practical curatorial work in a composition that is unusual in comparison to similar courses internationally. The Los Angeles Opera has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Development, Major Gifts who will be responsible for overseeing the patron program and implementing various strategies to acquire new donors and renewals of gifts. Some activities will include hosting meals with donors and prospects, attending performances, and otherwise representing the L.A. Opera in a positive fashion to the donor community.
Qualified candidates will have a BA or BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience in addition to at least 5 years of experience in development, especially for a non-profit arts organization. This position must be prepared to work nights and weekends as needed.
