NYSCA individual artists grant deadline Jan. 15, 2010
The Standby Program will accept projects for registration until January 15, 2010
The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) awards grants of up to
$25,000 for the production of film, video, media or new technology project.
Because NYSCA cannot fund individuals directly, all applications to the
Individual Artists program must be submitted through a fiscal sponsor like
The Standby Program.
All genres are eligible to apply. Please note that eligible documentary
projects are currently restricted to those in post-production and require a
15-minute work sample as part of the application.

Regular Full-Time Faculty in Net Art / Interactive Media
The School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) is conducting a search for a
regular full-time faculty position in net art. Position will begin September
2010.
The SMFA seeks a practicing artist/designer with a portfolio of net art,
including web based art, networked art, software art and new media that
expands to other disciplines such as photo, sound, video, installation,
animation, performance or book arts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an
ability to work across media with students and faculty.

Information For Artists:
Sylvia White Gallery is hosting an unusual Valentine's Day Gala that will include a juried art
auction. Ventura County artists may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. Pieces
accepted in the show will be in a silent auction at the Gala. Minimum bids will start at 25%
retail value, artists will receive 50% of the final sales price. In addition, each artist juried
into the show will be entered in a lottery, winner to be picked at the event. Winners will
each receive $1000 Art Advance, to be used in any way they wish to further their
career. The number of winners will be determined by the amount of money raised. The only

Triple Canopy is an online magazine that works collectively with writers, artists, researchers and other collaborators on projects that deal critically with culture and politics, and the ways people engage them, both online and in the world at large. We are pleased to announce our first call for proposals. In the coming months we will be commissioning ten projects spanning the five areas outlined below—original research, new-media journalism, public programming, Internet-specific artwork, and critical dialogues—to be published in the magazine and presented before live audiences in the next year.
