[E] Call for New Works from Young and / or Emerging Sound Artists / Composers
The CEC is pleased to announce that ACMA
(Australasian Computer Music Association) has
accepted our invitation to collaborate on JTTP
2010. This year's edition is therefore open to
artists from (or living in) Canada, Australia and
New Zealand.
The deadline for submission to the annual JTTP
competition is June 1, 2010*. More information on
how to submit your work and eligibility is found

*JOB SUMMARY*
Looking for proven theatre teachers experienced with special populations to
teach in our after-school programs and in our partnership with foster care
youth programs. Bi-lingual Spanish a plus. Could become a full-time
position in the future.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Duties may include, but are not limited to,
the following:
- Prepare and teach VAPA Standards-based lessons for students
- Teach enunciation, diction, voice development, and dialects, using
voice exercises, speech drills, explanation, lectures, and improvisation.
- Discuss and demonstrate vocal and body expression to teach acting

Arts Council of Wales is delighted to confirm that Wales will be participating at the 54th International Art Exhibition Venice Biennale in 2011. Wales at Venice is supported by the Arts Council of Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government and is a key part of the strategy for the visual arts in Wales.

Self-directed Arts Residencies
These nine unique studios , each designed by a distinguished Canadian architect, are located in a secluded wooded area of The Banff Centre. The studios offer a concentrated, retreat environment to professional artists engaged in the creation of new work.
Applications are accepted from artists of a variety of disciplines: writers, composers, singer-songwriters, visual artists, screenwriters, playwrights, literary translators, curators, art theorists, and professionals working in theatre, dance and film at the conceptualization or research stage of a project.
KODAK is offering scholarships to undergraduate and graduate film students who have shown extraordinary skill and talent. Students must be nominated by their respective universities or a program official. Only two nominations allowed per institution. Application deadline: June 14.
Five scholarships are being awarded:
Gold: US$1,000 cash and $5,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant
Silver: $4,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant
Bronze: $3,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant
Honorable Mentions: Two $2,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grants
