The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to professional printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Residencies are one year long and take place in the Printshop’s shared Artists’ Studio. Facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monoprint, waterbased silkscreen techniques, photo and digital processes, and other techniques that employ the tools at hand.

The Stone Summer Theory Institute is an intensive week of seminars, lectures, and panel discussions, which will be published as a series of books involving over 300 scholars. REDCAT is accepting proposals for original performance works for the 2010 New Original Works Festival. The Festival is designed to support the development and presentation of contemporary performance in Los Angeles through a three-week interdisciplinary program of dance, theater, music and multi-disciplinary works. Entering its seventh year, the Festival features a flexible schedule to accommodate a variety of short works and some longer projects in Los Angeles premieres, and provides development support through technical assistance, access to the theater and its sound and lighting inventory and an honorarium.

The Long Beach Playhouse announces a Call for Artists for a six-week
2-dimensional visual art exhibition featuring works by a single artist in
association with the theme of Real Women Have Curves by Josefina Lopez:
LONG BEACH PLAYHOUSE BACKGROUND
Long Beach Playhouse, established in 1929, is the oldest performing arts
organization in the city of Long Beach and the longest continuously
operating playhouse west of the Mississippi River. Sixteen productions are
presented annually in the Playhouse's two theatres - the elegant 200-seat,
non-professional actor Mainstage and 99-seat Equity-waiver Studio Theatre.
Nearly 35,000 people enjoy its productions annually; remarkably, a new
reDiscover needs Artist Volunteers to join us in creating a series of art projects for the center. Volunteers will be asked to join us at the center on Saturdays from 10am-1pm, to create projects that will be used in all facets of our work from samples for student projects to promotional materials and auction items. Volunteers can donate as much or as little time as they can and will have lots of room for personal creativity. (within the bounds that we work with children of course)

Contract Faculty: Documentary Photography Projects
Venice Arts is seeking to develop a pool of qualified, professional
documentary photographers and/or photojournalists interested in
working with youth on Independent Contract basis. Selected faculty
will be trained by Venice Arts and given teaching assignments in
either our ongoing programs or special projects. Regarding the latter,
these may be local, regional, statewide, or international.
Qualifications:
Must have experience and strong commitment to documentary photography,
photojournalism, or street photography. Prior experience teaching
youth a strong plus, as is familiarity with participant photography
