Authentic Contemporary Art (ACA), a five year old virtual and community-based resource for contemporary art by emerging artists announces a new partnership with the Center for Green Urbanism to showcase exhibitions of contemporary art. The Center is a new business incubator providing office space for small to mid-size businesses and start-ups interested in locating in Ward 7 in far northeast Washington, DC. The Center is located at 3938 Benning Road NE on the edge of Fort Mahan Park, a national park site and gateway to the Fort Circle Park Trail. The building is located directly across the street from the new Benning Road Library and is walking distance from the Minnesota Avenue metro stop on the orange line.
On September 21, 2010, we will be launching the largest single day new college student volunteer event in the country. We are looking for muralists to help us design art in early September for some local schools and shelters to be painted by our students.

The Chinese American Museum (CAM) invites visual artists to participate in (de)Constructing Chinatown, a new exhibition that re-examines Los Angeles’ Chinatown to open in October 2011. Stipends of $3,000 will be awarded to selected artists to help support and subsidize the completion of the project to be exhibited at the museum, with possible additional funding of $1,500. COLLAGE DANCE THEATRE (CDT) is seeking a PART-TIME PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Position Description:
This is a part-time (estimated 20 hours per week,) on-site
(no-telecommuting,) exempt/salaried position. Occasional evening/weekend
hours required to ensure smooth operations of all performances and special
events. Position will start immediately after hire.
The PROGRAM DIRECTOR (PD), working closely with the Artistic Director and
Managing Director, is responsible for the overall project management of the
company, including the planning and physical realization of each production.
In addition to overseeing projects, the PD would research new opportunities
for long-term program development in areas such as university residencies
The ROBERT BERMAN GALLERY located in Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica seeks bright, responsible, motivated intern to assist with daily gallery operations, exhibitions and events. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, greeting clients, art research, assisting with show openings (price lists, press packets, email blasts, etc.) and special projects as assigned. Candidates must be able to receive college credit. Photoshop and other graphic/web design skills a plus as is an interest in contemporary art.
