COLLAGE DANCE THEATRE (CDT) is seeking a PART-TIME PROGRAM DIRECTOR
This is a part-time (estimated 20 hours per week,) on-site
(no-telecommuting,) exempt/salaried position. Occasional evening/weekend
hours required to ensure smooth operations of all performances and special
events. Position will start immediately after hire.
The PROGRAM DIRECTOR (PD), working closely with the Artistic Director and
Managing Director, is responsible for the overall project management of the
company, including the planning and physical realization of each production.
In addition to overseeing projects, the PD would research new opportunities
for long-term program development in areas such as university residencies
and partnerships with presenting organizations in order to ensure

§ Work with Director of Marketing and Membership to determine membership goals and manage budget based on departmental strategic plan.
§ Act as primary liaison for membership and encourage interdepartmental efforts to increase membership sales and fulfill member benefits.
§ Responsible for generating ideas, conducting programs and providing benefits designed to increase overall membership. (ie The Broad Stage pass program)
§ Develop membership marketing campaigns, including acquiring solicitation lists and researching potential markets.
§ Create and implement strategies for effective renewal campaigns to attract lapsed members.
§ Supervise on-site membership sales activities and volunteer training.
The Arts Council for Long Beach (Arts Council) is seeking proposals for temporary exhibitions and
site-specific installations for a new visual art gallery in downtown Long Beach. Artists, curators, directors,
as well as gallery, museum and public art professionals are invited to apply. In addition, non-profit,
visual arts organizations may explore the use of the gallery as a satellite, or primary exhibition space.
All complete proposals must be received no later September 24, 2010 at 4pm.
The selection panel will evaluate complete submittals according to the following criteria:
• Artistic merit of the proposal
• Experience in exhibition design and planning as demonstrated by applicant's resume or organization's history
of completed exhibitions

The HanseArt
El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument will be presenting an art exhibit entitled Sacred Memories: Cross-Cultural Celebrations of Day of the Dead from October 24 to November 28, 2010. Sacred Memories will explore the world's rituals that venerate the departed including Dia de los Muertos, first observed by the indigenous people of Latin America, China's Qingming, Korea's Chuseok, and other rituals practiced in United States, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
Artists are asked to submit for consideration two and three-dimensional work (including ofrendas/altars) that examines rituals honoring the deceased and/or pays tribute to departed ancestors. Interactive and interpretive works will be particularly encouraged.

Camillo 2.0: Technology, Memory, Experience combines science, scholarly
pursuit and art in a five-day program consisting of lectures, presentations
of current research (both theoretical and practical), performances, debates,
and workshops. In addition, hybrid program components, or 'shifts',
introduced by participants or inititiated by the organisers will pave the
way to unconventional presentation situations. This PSi conference is an
initiative of the Theatre Studies department at Utrecht University and
