I'm collecting 3000 pieces of clothing for an installation, "Long Beach Garment Manifestation," in Long Beach.
All clothes will remain intact and be photographed for an online catalog and limited edition artist's book.
At the end of the exhibition there will be a dismantling party where viewers are invited to take clothes home. Remaining garments will be donated to the Women Shelter of Long Beach.

Committed to the creation and dissemination of contemporary culture, the University of Extremadura, through its Vice-Chancellor for Institutional Relations and Cultural Extension, has convened since 1994 Artistic Creation Awards, through which has resulted in creation of a collection of contemporary art, to provide the university community and the general public direct access to the understanding, study and enjoyment of new languages and artistic vanguards.

THERE IS NO DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS.
GLENDALE AREA TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS 2010-2011
This series of curated temporary exhibitions will take place in downtown Glendale (see map), beginning in Fall 2010 and continuing through summer 2011. The project aims to intervene into the retail fabric of this well trafficked area with a lively cultural program of exhibitions and events.
L.A. Choralettes is offering final, private auditions January 10th and
11th (daytime hours TBA with you) and Jan. 18th (daytime hours TBA) for
multicultural women who are soloist-level singers in their 40's and 50's
to become members of their harmonic performance group.
The currently 15-person chorale sings 3 and 4-part harmony on uptempo,
positive music that is standards and contemporary songs with a jazz
flair. They will perform locally this year. However, performances are
embarked on for fun and to give back to the community and are not to be
thought of for career purposes or to generate revenue. Rehearsals are
in Culver City the 1st and 3rd Tuesday night of each month from 7-9:30
p.m. Regular participation is mandatory (3 misses per year max.)

UNIDEE – University of Ideas is the international pole of formation and exchange between knowledge and diverse problematics, open to a varied and multidisciplined group of creatives, professional people and students. Here art abandons the conventional cannons and places instead to integrate itself with society and with other disciplines: communication, production, economics, politic, architecture, design, literature, music, spirituality, ecology and nourishment.
LarkGallery Online (LGO) invites musicians and composers to showcase their talents by giving voice and sound to visual art. Musicians are welcomed to browse LarkGallery Online, choose a work of art and match their own music interpretation to it. If chosen, their music will be visually embedded online with the inspirational artwork and showcased on LarkGallery Online with link to their own websites for a year.
* Three winners in music competition chosen by our international jury will receive an individually designed web page plus free web hosting worth $600 for one year.
* Art To Art Palette Journal will publish an article about Colors of Life, Music e-exhibition winners.
