Lower East Side Printshop is pleased to present In and Out of Context guest curated by Hallie Ringle, Curatorial Assistant at The Studio Museum in Harlem. The exhibition will be on view at the Printshop from July 16 – September 21, 2014 with a public reception on Wednesday, July 30, from 6-8pm.

The “Botanicals” theme was considered to be any art which depicted flowers, herbs, leaves, plants and related floral subjects for inclusion into this art exhibition. The gallery accepted art on this subject that was either representational or abstract.
An art competition was held in June 2014 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 20 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 34 different states. Overall, there were 697 entries judged for this art competition.
