The Impakt Festival is the annual culmination of Impakt's activities as an organisation that focuses on critical media culture: a five-day, multi-media festival with conferences, talks, performances, screenings, exhibitions and presentations. The Craft & Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Curator of Public Engagement to develop public programs that promote making, explore the leading edge of craft, art, and design, and further elevate the reputation and recognition of the museum as a vital forum to challenge preconceived notions of contemporary craft. The Curator of Public Engagement will be an innovative thinker and maker, responsible for developing relationships with the public and implementing robust exhibition-related programs that explore the state of contemporary craft and some contemporary folk art.
Decoding Berlin is a week of discovering the many Berlin art scenes and will take place 25-30 May, 2015, through an intensive series of talks and walks through the city. This new program is initiated and organised by Nika Radić, Kathy Rae Huffman and Dr. Judit Bőnisch. Focus will be on places beyond mainstream institutions and exhibition sites, in order to discover people, ideas, projects and spaces that few people, apart from insiders, will be aware of. The experience will be unique being based on profound knowledge and extensive personal networks of the organizers.
