The biannual Open Call is a bit different this year. Artists are invited to submit work that plays with the idea of “play.” Artists are encouraged to freely interpret the notion of play in all of its meanings. Works that do not speak to the theme will not be accepted. Open Call is a non-juried exhibition open to all artists living in Southern CA.

Submissions deadline extended. Submissions will be accepted through June 7, 2016. Submissions will be accepted through our online submission form. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Artists will be notified of their drop-off window the week of June 13 to 17.

The City of San Diego is seeking applications from interested qualified artists to provide public art services for the East Village Green Phase 1 Public Art Project. An artist or artist team is sought to design, fabricate and transport permanent, site-specific artwork for East Village Green Phase 1 and consult during installation of artwork at the site by the City.

SODE School of Performing Arts (a mobile performing arts school) is looking for English, French and Spanish speaking dance (all genres) and theater teachers for Fall2016 semester. Most classes are for kinder through 5th grade but we are also looking for French speaking dance teachers who have experience working with 2.5-5 year old students.

The South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) invites artists to submit a proposal to create artwork for 10 of the City’s traffic signal boxes. These small scaled “murals” will enhance the City environment, and been seen and appreciated by our residents, business owners and visitors.

San Diego International Airport's Art Program is seeking to contract with a Performing Arts Production and Programming Specialist. The position will perform a range of technical and curatorial functions requiring creativity and resourcefulness to secure, manage, and produce a variety of live music, dance and theatrical events at the airport.

The selected candidate will work with Art Program staff to provide a broad framework of standard guidelines and procedures for managing weekly scheduled and special event performances.
