DREAM A WORLD EDUCATION IS LOOKING FOR DEDICATED DANCE INSTRUCTORS FOR A NEW DANCE PROGRAM

Dream A World Education is a non-profit that has been delivering a unique kind of arts programming to schools in the Los Angeles area since 2008. Our programming addresses the need to teach multidisciplinary arts and values as a part of early elementary education. Our programming begins in kindergarten and currently reaches through 2nd grade.

Qualifications:
Must have a high degree of artistic skill as a dancer
Must have experience teaching lower elementary aged children 7-8
Must have performance experience
Must have an ability to demonstrate a variety of styles including ballet, tap, modern, popular dance and contemporary movement

Call for Mural Artists

LA Commons South LA Alleys Mural Project

LA Commons is searching for 3 mural design artists
to work with a core Youth Arts Team

(Age 15-25) to collect community stories,
attend a neighborhood story summit and to design murals, in scale, for three
South LA Alley ways. Three artists will each work with a small team. Youth Arts
team members will meet weekly and be paid a stipend for their work. LA Commons will coordinate project partners,
supply acquisition, workshop space and recruiting the Youth Arts team. One lead artist will be hired to work with
the team. Part Three of the project –
painting the murals will be a separate project and contract.

WORD Grant 2016: The Bruce Geller Memorial Prize

The WORD Grant, a project of American Jewish University’s Institute for
Jewish Creativity, supports artists creating projects that explore Jewish
ideas, themes, tradition, history, and identity. We believe in supporting a
contemporary, vibrant, Jewish cultural landscape in Los Angeles.

Applications are now open for our first round of funding and are due March
30th. We are pleased to support projects that approach Jewish culture from
a variety of perspectives, in terms of discipline, context and thematic
elements. Grants of $500-$2,000 will be given for the creation and/or
presentation of new work.

Sophie Olson Dance Explosion is holding auditions on March 19th from 10:00am-11:00am @Burbank First Academy, 700 N Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank, CA 91502 We are casting We.Are.Humans, a 25 minute dance show based on social structure, human interaction, relationship and how if we allow it....love always prevails.
We.Are.Humans performs on June 4th in east Los Angeles at an outdoor art festival. Dancers will receive a stipend and a dvd copy of the show. Rehearsals beings in April. Rehearsals are on Sundays and on some Thursday evenings. Dancers must be over 21. Must have a strong technical background, contemporary training and able to incorporate hip hop and jazz in their contemporary movement.

SODE is a project based contemporary hip-jazz fusion dance company.
