NORDIC DUMMY AWARD OPEN CALL

Nordic Dummy Award is holding a call for submissions until June 15 for its 2016 edition.
Artists with a connection to the Nordic countries are invited to submit their unpublished photobook to the Nordic Dummy Award. The award will be granted in September during the Fotobokfestival Oslo (FFO). The shortlisted books including the winner are exhibited and announced during the Fotobokfestival Oslo from 8 - 18 September 2016. These dummies will then go on a tour to several different Nordic countries. The winner dummy will be produced by the renowned publishing house Kehrer Verlag, Heidelberg in collaboration with Fotogalleriet. The winner photobook will be launched at FFO in 2017.
The Nordic Dummy Award Jury 2016 is composed of:
JH Engstrőm (SE, Photographer), Eva Eicker (GB, Assistant Curator, The Photographers' Gallery, London), Kristine Kern (DK, Director, Fotografisk Center, Copenhagen), Klaus Kehrer (DE, Publisher, Kehrer Verlag) and Marie Sjøvold (NO, Photographer).
In 2016 the shortlisted dummies and the winner will also be exhibited at Gőteborg Fotobokfestival, Gőteborg (SE), Centrum for fotografi, Stockholm (SE), Galleri Entrée, Bergen (NO), Tromsø Kunstforening, Tromsø (NO), Galleri Image, Århus (DK), Fotografisk Center, København (DK), Finnish Museum of Photography, Helsinki (FI), Northern Photographic Centre, Oulu (FI), Reykjavik Museum of Photography (IS).
The NDA on tour is supported by the Nordic Culture Fund.
About Nordic Dummy Award:
The Nordic Dummy Award (NDA) is awarded annually by Fotogalleriet, Oslo in connection with the Fotobokfestival Oslo. The Fotobokfestival Oslo is organized by The Norwegian Association of Fine Art Photographers with Fotogalleriet as its main collaborator.
NDA was initiated in 2012 by Fotogalleriet and The Norwegian Association of Fine Art Photographers. Today it is administrated by Fotogalleriet and supported by Kehrer Verlag Heidelberg and The Norwegian Photographic Fund.

The Fotobokfestival Oslo is an annual festival that aims to explore the phenomenon of the photobook, a medium that is increasingly used both as an artistic tool and an alternative form for presenting photographic works. This year's edition will be held 8 - 18 September 2016.
