The New Museum announces an open call for participants in IdeasCity New Orleans, the next edition of the institution’s civic platform that explores the future of cities with art and culture as a driving force. The residency will take place April 15–20, 2019 and is open to emerging practitioners working at the intersections of urbanism, art, design, community activism, and technology, and is led by V. Mitch McEwen, Curator of IdeasCity, and the cofounder and principal of A(n) Office, a collaborative design studio in Detroit and New York.

A Prestigious Studio in the Center of Manhattan
Our yearly open application is due in two weeks. EFA Studio Memberships are available to emerging and established artists through a no-fee application and jury selection process. EFA Studios is a diverse and supportive community of over 100 professional artists. The Studio Program provides professional development opportunities for Members including Studio Visits, Member Exhibitions, and Open Studios. Members receive a subsidized private studio in Manhattan's Garment District for a period of two years. Renewal of membership is possible every two years through a review process.
