I am excited to share with you the launch of The Green-Wood Cemetery’s new artist-in-residence program. https://www.green-wood.com/artistinresidence/ Beginning in 2021, this nine-month-long residency (January– September 2021) will offer one artist the opportunity to create a project or body of work inspired by the Cemetery’s beautiful natural landscape, stunning monuments, and compelling history. TCR COMPLETE includes all nine issues of the zine, The Cherotic (r)Evolutionary that Frank Moore published during the 1990s, featuring articles and poetry by Frank Moore, Annie Sprinkle, Veronica Vera, Carol Queen, Karen Finley, Noni Howard, Jack Foley, Ana Christy, Lob, Robert W. Howington, Dorothy Jesse Beagle, Linda Montano and many more. The zine also included lots of artwork and photos by the likes of H.R. Giger, Annie Sprinkle, John Seabury, Tony Ryan, Brian Viveros, T.R. Miller, Sean Bieri, Claudio Parentela, LaBash and many others.
Lower East Side Printshop, NY, offers emerging artists FREE year-long studio residencies to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. The application deadline is September 1, 2020 for residencies that begin on October 1, 2020. Printmaking facilities are available for intaglio, relief, monotype, waterbased screenprinting, digital processes, and other techniques that employ the tools at hand.
Keyholders work independently in the Printshop’s shared Artists’ Studio and have access to a vibrant community of peers. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; printmaking skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended.

We are in need of someone who can collaborate with the Founder of The Children’s Institute of Fashion Arts in editing tutorial and other videos. We are especially interested in establishing a relationship with the right person or people who share our sensitive, creative, artistic, inventive, logical, playful, purposeful perspective to create kid-centered educational media for our nascent YouTube channel and online educational platforms. Extra special applicants are makers and sew-ologists as well as video editors. Knowledge of “fashion” not necessary, except if it encompasses “fashion revolution,” sustainable, circular-economic sensibilities. Girls and women welcome! a virtual exhibit of art filled with hopes for the future
Dear Artists:
Though Viridian remains closed to the public we are continuing to show Virtual Exhibitions which can be viewed on our gallery’s website.
Our next virtual show will be titled: "SANGUINE EXPECTATIONS”. Consider submitting art that is Looking towards the Future with Hope”
This show will be curated by the Artists of Viridian - we are hoping that you will apply. The exhibit will go online late July or early August.

The cost to apply is a $25 submission fee. One artwork by each artist will be accepted into the show.

Since 2003, In Practice has supported more than 200 emerging artists with the essential resources of space, funding, time, curatorial support, and administrative guidance to help turn their ideas into reality.
