Check out my page and download a song. I'll get back to you as soon as the payment goes thru.

The Brand Library Art Galleries is pleased to present the exhibition The Human Element, featuring the work of Laura Hipke, Farzad Kohan, and Lois Ramirez. The three artists showcased work in mixed media, employing the human figure to create narratives that speak of individual lives as well as the human condition. Viewers will be challenged to unravel the tales told in Kohan’s installations of gender-neutral figures, Hipke’s mysterious portraits, and Ramirez' intricate collage vignettes.
I am busily struggling with resist dyeing on silk georgette. The aim is to make some gorgeous scarves for Christmas presents, hopefully all will turn out well after this overdyeing. Will probably also stencil or stamp to create more complex patterning.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.
Cyanotypes, also called sun prints, are one of the oldest photographic printing processes dating back to 1842. Sir John Herschel developed this first silver less photographic process using only 2 chemicals and the sun as a light source. These sun prints are decidedly low tech as the final image of a cyanotype appears only with the aid of sunlight as a light source and water for a developer. This inexpensive, simple and permanent process was used for the blue print process for copying architectural plans, hence the name

Online directory of Arab cinema launched
Filmmakers in the Arab world can now access the Arab Cinema Directory, a Web site that aims to boost the visibility of movies from Middle East and North African countries.
Launched last month, the directory provides details on Arab films of all genres since the 1930s – especially those from Mediterranean countries. Documentaries are included, as well as dramas, experimental films, shorts and full-length features, etc. Each film has a page dedicated to its description, technical details and more.
This is an oil painting about 16" x 20". It was done of a model sitting reading a book on Balthus. Since I like his work so much, I decided to do a tribute to him. I picked the dress on the model because it reminded me of something Balthus would have his model wear. Also the young blond figure seems nubile but with some inner knowledge of sensuality which I feel is also a Balthus trait. Hope you enjoy this painting.
First off, multiple full-bodied hand claps for Amp founder Terri Anderson for putting together this site. Nice job. Great cause. Thanks for not letting me off the hook Terri - I'm finally on.
About myself, as briefly as possible:
I'm a Los Angeles based, Boston raised, Israeli born artist. I make my living producing records in various styles of music under numerous pseudonyms, running a little record label out of my house, composing a bit for television, and performing under the name Holmes. The latter is closest to my heart at the moment and I'm having fun getting out there with a full band and rocking out (or playing pretty & sensitive) in front of a (hopefully receptive) crowd.
