Meanwhile back in England...

I really enjoyed performing in AMPsterdam. It was the first time I've played in Holland and hope to do it again! The venue was beautiful and I was really feeling the performances by Mavis Klaverweide and Synchdub. Victor Chews performance was inspired and reminded me of a scene from Blue Velvet, one of my favourite films.

Now that I'm back in London, I'm working on a haunted and radical audio walk of Wandsworth and some new music.

Akrasi performance in AMPsterdam

Hi everyone,

I am looking forward to playing in Amsterdam later this month.

About the artists
Akrasi are a duo that produce mutations of dub and breakbeat with strong vocals, fierce beats and haunting melodies. Live performances combine digital and analogue instruments.

Akrasi met in Manchester organising jungle nights. They began to work on their own music which was heavily influenced by the eclectic style and D.I.Y attitude of soundsystem culture. German artists - Funkstorung heard this sound and invited them to Munich for their first performance supporting LTJ Bukem. An EP 'Zero1' was licensed through Funkstorung's label Sellwell. The duo performed several times to huge audiences in Germany and France alongside artists such as DJ Blame and Conrad. Encouraged by this Akrasi began to work on an album and set up their own label Zero-k.
