Public engagement with sculpture: old, new and yet to be imagined...

Dublin City Council is pleased to announce the launch of Sculpture Dublin and a series of city-wide public art commissions. Five of the six commissions are open competitions, designed to attract the interest of Irish and international artists. One of the commissions, a land artwork, is an invited competition and artists will be nominated by an international panel of experts.

Creative Response Relief Fund is once again taking applications. New Orleans area artists of all disciplines can apply for $1,500 in support. The deadline for this round of applications is August 10th.

The relief fund is supported by Antenna, Ashé Cultural Arts Center, Junebug Productions, the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts, The Weavers Fellowship, United Way/BET, Family Independence Initiative, RosaMary Foundation, and now additional support from The Joan Mitchell Foundation and The Greater New Orleans Foundation.

MICROGRANT APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
Applications to the The Red Bull Arts Microgrant Program are now open. The adapted program will award two $1000 grants monthly to artists in the following 20 cities: Atlanta, Austin/San Antonio, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Hudson Valley (NY), Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Providence, St. Louis, and the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St.Paul). I am excited to share with you the launch of The Green-Wood Cemetery’s new artist-in-residence program. https://www.green-wood.com/artistinresidence/ Beginning in 2021, this nine-month-long residency (January– September 2021) will offer one artist the opportunity to create a project or body of work inspired by the Cemetery’s beautiful natural landscape, stunning monuments, and compelling history.
