Untuned Piano Project
Open call
SoundFjord has had the good fortune to come into the possession of an upright piano – a C. Bustard (from
Collard and Collard, London) – that has been in the Lewis family for around 100 years. The piano has recently
been restrung, but has not been tuned.
The current owner, had kindly loaned us the instrument until the end of the year. We are excited to have the
piano available for use at the gallery, Monday–Friday, from 07 November to 02 December 2011.
Whilst we have the piano we encourage interested parties to utilise the piano – and its untuned nature – in

Music Theatre Visionary wanted. We're looking for a like-minded
self-starter who, like us, has a burning desire to create a career in
musical theatre. We're the Academy for New Musical Theatre -- we create,
produce and study new musicals, working with producers, writers, composers,
lyricists and theatres all around the country. We're looking to clone our
staff, hoping to find people who love working long long hours, dreaming up
new musical projects, programs and events, and how to accomplish them.
We're looking for a leader, not a follower, hoping to find an ambitious
far-seeing entrepreneur who likes to accomplish the impossible, several
times a week. If that's you, write us about your passion for musical

The Exploring Engagement Fund is designed to help nonprofit arts organizations try new ways of engaging audiences and participants. Grant awards are intended as risk capital for nonprofit arts organizations to encourage experimentation with new programming utilizing the "Who, How, Where" pathways described below. Organizations interested in exploring two or more of these pathways by prototyping a project idea may submit an Exploring Engagement Fund proposal. The proposed project may represent for the organization a completely new investigation or a new approach to their work of presenting and/or producing.
