Ford Theatres invites theatre companies to apply to the [Inside] the Ford (ITF) Winter Partnership Program. The program provides Los Angeles County-based theatre companies the opportunity to produce in the 87-seat [Inside] the Ford at a low cost and with significant marketing, box office and house management support. Companies whose budgets are less than $500,000 and have a minimum of three years of theatre producing experience within the past five years are eligible. The fifth annual ITF Winter Partnership season is scheduled to run October 2012 through May 2013.

Job Opportunity @ The Autry: Lead Preparator

The Autry seeks a Lead Preparator to plan and oversee the production of
exhibition furniture and casework, and the construction of gallery
spaces. The Lead Preparator supervises Preparator tasks, interprets
design materials, prioritizes and maintains supply inventory, and
ensures safety protocols are maintained. He/she must be able to design
and fabricate mounts, read and build from architectural plans, and
provide training to Preparators. The Lead Preparator oversees and
documents the maintenance of tools, equipment, and lifts. This position
reports to the Head Preparator.

Qualifications
5 years of experience as an art handler and 5 years of experience in
carpentry and/or metal work.
2 years of supervisory experience

MOLAA invites female artists to submit digital work to be considered for a virtual display. This display will be projected as a Power Point presentation during MOLAA's annual Women's Day Festival on March 18, 2012.

Eligibility: All female artists who work in any fine art media are invited to submit digital images for exhibition. Acceptable media include: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, collage, digital works, textiles and mixed media works. Video files do not qualify. Still images of performance or video works are acceptable. Works must have been completed within the last five years.

EDUCATORS - 2012 Poster Contest @ The Museum of Latin American Art: Registration

Dear Educator,

MOLAA's annual Poster Contest gives youth the opportunity to compete for cash prizes and display their work in front of a public audience. Cash prizes ranging $100-$250 will be given to three winners in each age category (Middle and High School). The instructor who submits the most participants will receive a tour and workshop package for their students.

This year, we ask that students create a poster which addresses the question "How does art improve our quality of life?" Each poster must include an original slogan and imagery. All middle school and high school students enrolled in Los Angeles and Orange County schools are invited to participate. Participants and their instructors will be honored at a special reception. Families and friends are encouraged to attend.
