their personal art making process to guide our artists through their
projects to create saleable artwork with our students. This position
offers an artist the ability to work in a stable, creative environment

3. Has an extensive portfolio that can illustrate your abilities

Call for Artists
MOLAA invites female artists to submit digital work to be considered for a virtual display. This display will be projected as a Power Point presentation during MOLAA's annual Women's Day Festival on March 18, 2012.
Eligibility: All female artists who work in any fine art media are invited to submit digital images for exhibition. Acceptable media include: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, collage, digital works, textiles and mixed media works. Video files do not qualify. Still images of performance or video works are acceptable. Works must have been completed within the last five years.

MOLAA's annual Poster Contest gives youth the opportunity to compete for cash prizes and display their work in front of a public audience. Cash prizes ranging $100-$250 will be given to three winners in each age category (Middle and High School). The instructor who submits the most participants will receive a tour and workshop package for their students.
This year, we ask that students create a poster which addresses the question "How does art improve our quality of life?" Each poster must include an original slogan and imagery. All middle school and high school students enrolled in Los Angeles and Orange County schools are invited to participate. Participants and their instructors will be honored at a special reception. Families and friends are encouraged to attend.
Glendale Arts seeks experienced 20 hour/week office assistant. Requires standard office computer skills; basic knowledge of graphic design software (Photoshop, Publisher.) and social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, et al). Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to deal with the public. Opportunity to participate in event coordination, publicity and marketing activities. $10 - $12 per hour depending on experience – office hours M-F 10-5. Meet Me @Metro: Uncovering Los Angeles' Hidden Treasures (M3-III) is Watts Village Theater Company's (WVTC's) third annual celebration of transit and performing arts. This hands-on artistic expedition will search out culturally significant sites around the Metro rail system and create "artistic excavations" that will allow audience members to discover and learn about Los Angeles' rich and diverse artistic history in an active and participatory manner.
