The Hemispheric Institute is excited to announce that applications are now open for our upcoming program, EMERGENYC 2017 (April 8–July 8, 2017). See below for information about the program, application guidelines, and the deadline for applications.
The Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics at New York University is now accepting applications for its tenth year of EMERGENYC, the Hemispheric New York Emerging Performers Program focused on political performance. EMERGENYC aims to support the development of “hemispheric” emerging artists through a program of workshops and events between April 8 and July 8, 2017. The deadline to submit applications is February 6, 2017.

LAST DAY, FIRST DAY proposes Presidential letter-writing as a reflexive and political act.
1. Write a letter to President Obama on his last day in office.
2. Write a letter to President Elect Trump on his first day in office.
3. Send your letters to LAST DAY, FIRST DAY (and if inclined, The White House).
4. Letters collected until Inauguration Day, at which point they’ll be self-publshed into a 2-volume artist book.

The site
The Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art (National School of Art/ENSA) in Bourges is housed in a 17th-century building in the Old Town. Bourges itself is in central France, two hours from Paris. Covering some 7,000 square metres, the school offers its students extensive workspaces plus well equipped technical workshops that are regularly renovated and updated.
